What and where is Camp Mattatuck?

Camp Mattatuck is a 500 acre Boy Scout camp situated among the majestic pines and on a pristine, private lake. Camp Mattatuck is conveniently located off Route 8 in Plymouth, CT. It is about a 40 minute drive from Hartford, CT, 10 minutes from Waterbury and 20 minutes from Torrington.

Are all meals provided?

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be prepared on-site by the team. Breakfast will be a buffet of options to fuel you for the day’s workouts. Lunch will consist of foods to speed your recovery after a long day of training. You will need to bring your own nutrition for the workouts. If you tend to consume a lot of calories throughout the day, packing some extra food is advisable.

Will I be sharing a room?

Yes, the camp has a few large bedrooms with multiple bunk beds. The bathrooms and showers are down the hall.

Will my fitness be good enough to handle this camp?

You need to be able to swim for 30 minutes, bike 30 miles and run 8 miles.

Is there electricity, showers and running water?

Yep. You will need to provide your own towels and toiletries.

Do I need to bring my own sheets?

Yes, you need to bring your own sheets (or sleeping bag) and pillow.
